Well... The company did do something about it. It's just, this job he does. Construction line. There're like different companies working together and such. And sometimes they just hire extra help, mainly Bangladeshis or Chinamen. Some work hard, some do it sloppy. Confused

Someone did get killed a few years back... A container dropped onto that poor lad. Squished, he got.

If this were to happen in his previous company. They wouldn't give a rat's ass about it. Confused

Yeah. Keep reminding him. He's like a big kid, in a good way lah. Oh well. He's doing fine now. Resting on bed. Not sure how it's gonna go during the weekdays. I have work, my mom has work. He'll be alone at home. I'm afraid he'll fall or something. Confused

Obviously the company is not doing enough to prevent it. The reason for this accident to happen is because they hire people with no training. The company can avoid this from happening by hiring someone with experience or relevant training or by training them.

The company my dad's in always does its part. Oh well. I just hope it's a smooth road, here on out, to recovery for my dad. Very Happy

It should be a must for the company to pay for anything that is work-related.

Like the rash I have at the moment, because it is as a result of the tick bite happened during my site visit. I am eligible to claim work compensation including my medical expenses.

I hope the companies in Singapore will take their occupational health and safety more seriously to prevent accidents from happening. The company can only compensate the workers with money but they can't compensate the pain and suffering the workers have to go through. And they definitely can't give the worker the life back if the worker is killed.

Still itchy. Going back to the doctor next Tuesday. A different doctor this time. Hopefully this doctor will know about tick bite. Because the one I went the other basically just told me that it was due to my "weak" immune system. He obviously has no idea what a tick can do to a person! Mad

He sent me for a blood test but that's a general blood test for my blood sugar, cholesterol, iron etc And my immune system (blood cells) is normal.

At least I know my cholesterol level is still ok after having yumcha so often! Mr. Green

Come to think about it, it's infact true. Most people with peanut allegy, usually as a result of their "overactive" immune system.

Oh well, it just shows that the doctor I went to has no idea about allergies!

Just came back from Chong Pang, a little shopping for necessities, and breakfast (Wanton Noodles and Dumpling Noodles) Razz

Heading out to NTUC in awhile to get groceries. Dad seems to be coping well with his little support thingy, still in pain. Takes a hell lot of energy outta him just to maneuver around the place. Confused
